INVENTORY CLERK POSITION OVERVIEWWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Clerk to join our team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring product availability, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is organized, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

MAIN JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Accurately count and record inventory levels for all grocery and food distribution items
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist in full physical inventory processes
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in coordination with warehouse and receiving staff
- Enter inventory data into the inventory management system and update records as needed
- Monitor inventory levels to identify slow-moving or excess stock
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and report any discrepancies
- Ensure proper labeling, rotation (FIFO), and storage of products
- Assist with inventory audits and provide support during internal or external inspections
- Collaborate with department supervisors and purchasing team to maintain stock accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- As part of your role, you may be required to perform additional duties or tasks as assigned by your manager or the company. Flexibility and a willingness to take on varied responsibilities are essential expectations for all positions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, or grocery store setting preferred
- Familiarity with inventory software a plus
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods
