The Role

This position reports to the Director of Premium Services. The Catering Sales Manager targets and coordinates catering sales efforts, initiates and develops quality leads, and ensures growth in catering sales. The primary responsibility is to develop new catering business through lead generation, sales marketing and networking events. The manager solicits new catering customers using traditional and non‑traditional sales techniques and coordinates special social events, maintaining the highest level of customer service.

Responsibilities include generating revenue, establishing new accounts, monitoring booking space, booking repeat business, and conducting catering sales presentations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Research, analyse and develop special event profit‑generating opportunities.
  • Proactively solicit new business by making sales calls and presentations, attending local trade shows, and engaging in other client prospecting to increase the Legends’ potential client database.
  • Create leads and develop long‑term relationships in the event planning, production and promotion communities and with other relevant companies, organisations and groups.
  • Monitor changes and new developments in the special events industry.
  • Work closely and build relationships with Legends’ premium and concessions departments.
  • Manage and direct all Legends‑related event logistics, including managing the events calendar, conducting walk‑throughs and stadium visits, and acting as the primary contact for clients.
  • Prepare and provide required reports to the Director of Premium and General Manager including special event revenue reports, profit and loss statements, sales recaps and projections.
  • Obtain feedback from clients following each special event to determine and analyse client satisfaction, organisational performance and event‑related risks and liabilities.
  • Provide quality service and excellent products while maintaining positive customer and client relations and prudent financial practices.
  • Practice safe work habits and complete company and venue safety and general compliance training.
  • Maintain a pleasant and collaborative attitude towards customers, co‑workers and management.
  • Adhere to Legends Global and venue company policies.
  • Focus on outbound sales and turnover into repeat business.
  • Complete additional duties assigned by management.
  • Be available to work non‑traditional hours (nights, weekends and holidays).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multi‑task and prioritise in a deadline‑oriented environment.
  • Unwavering commitment to delivering a high level of customer and client service with demonstrated initiative, leadership and management skills.
  • Customer‑service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of Legends and management.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Sufficient mobility to perform tasks involving constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing and pulling for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays, covering all games, major stadium events and private events.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
