Job Description

Senior Industrial Automation Specialist – Industrial Controls to join our REXEL team located in Tampa, FL. Rexel Automation delivers automation and control solutions across Florida, partnering with leading OEMs and Users to design, specify, and support practical industrial systems for a wide range of markets. We are growing our Rockwell‑focused offering and looking for a technically strong specialist to help expand our footprint in the region.

As a Rockwell Industrial Control Specialist, you should know a mix of product knowledge, application know‑how, and customer‑facing skills. You will serve as a key technical resource for integrators and end users, working closely with our Sales Team, Rockwell and other partners to design, demonstrate, and support panel and control solutions. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role where you ll help drive growth, develop customer relationships, and support all the products in your portfolio.

What

You ll Do
  • Support Rockwell industrial control and automation solutions, including new product launches and technologies.
  • Help specify, demo, and implement Rockwell products and systems.
  • Work with customers and internal teams to recommend the right automation solutions.
  • Conduct customer site visits, demonstrations, and proof‑of‑concepts.
  • Prepare proposals, documentation, and training materials.
  • Represent Rexel at customer visits, trade shows, and Tech Tour events.
  • Build customer relationships and help grow business across the territory.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals of assigned technology offer.
  • Develop sales strategies, promotions, programs, and plans for sales growth.
  • Develop annual performance goals, objectives, and sales action plans.
  • Prepare periodic sales funnel, weekly sales reports, etc.
  • Provide technical support for internal and external customers via on‑site visit, phone, and email, including troubleshooting, documentation, and product selection.
  • Establish relationships with sales and customers to better understand sales potential.
  • A ascertain customer needs by visits, calls, and research (internet, etc.).
  • Work with sales to establish joint strategies and activities.
  • Provide expert knowledge to Inside Sales to facilitate quoting, order entry, and order expediting.
  • Create and present technical and commercial training for internal and external customers.
  • Describe or demonstrate product to customers.
  • Follow up on all business leads assigned by management, marketing, technical department, or supplier partners.
  • Acquire, use, and continuously develop personal technical knowledge.
  • Provide quotations, proposals or estimates of prices, scope of work, terms, and delivery.
  • Work with prospective customers to move projects through the sales cycle to conclusion.
  • Prepare for sales calls and customer events.
  • Work with Purchasing on proper inventory of high‑tech products and identify obsolescence risks.
  • Actively participate in appropriate industry groups.
  • Mentor, train, and coach other Automation specialists; may act as a Team Lead.
  • Other duties as assigned.
