About Tekplan

Tekplan Solutions Florida is a growing Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls company focused on delivering innovative, energy‑efficient solutions for commercial and industrial facilities. We specialize in HVAC controls, energy‑management systems, and smart building technologies that improve operational performance and reduce energy consumption.

We are looking for a motivated and relationship‑driven Account Executive to help expand our presence throughout the Florida market.

Position Summary

The Account Executive is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving sales growth across the region. This role will work closely with building owners, engineers, contractors, and design firms to provide customized building automation and control solutions.

The ideal candidate understands HVAC systems, building automation, and consultative sales processes, and thrives in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, mechanical, electrical & plumbing (MEP) contractors, engineers and consulting firms, general contractors, and facility managers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout the region
  • Understand HVAC systems, control systems, and open communication protocols
  • Prepare and present proposals, bids, and customer solutions
  • Manage project sales lifecycle from prospecting through project turnover
  • Create and manage bid proposals, change orders, RFP responses, and sales documentation
  • Coordinate internally with operations, engineering, and project management teams
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure client satisfaction
  • Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and market developments
  • Participate in client meetings, networking events, and industry functions
Qualifications
  • Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, mechanical systems, or related industry preferred
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, control systems, BACnet and open protocols, and commercial construction environment
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving abilities
  • Experience with bid management and proposal development preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM/project tracking tools
