About This Role

As an HVAC Controls Sales Specialist, you will be crucial to the business by expanding ALC’s customer base and working to exceed sales targets. You will grow your clientele, coach less experienced sales specialists, and contribute to the growth of the Southwest Florida territory, especially in Manatee, Charlotte, or Collier counties.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect in greenfield Southwest Florida.
  • Promote the Automated Logic Brand via ALFO and not independent dealers.
  • Secure new logos for ALFO in Southern Florida.
  • Expand ALC Florida's footprint and increase new orders.
  • Increase ALC Florida's revenue.
  • Manage and grow assigned territory or group of accounts for product offerings.
  • Achieve annual sales and gross margin targets.
  • Develop long‑term relationships and partnerships with owners, contractors, and consulting engineers.
  • Perform take‑offs and bid projects with the full spectrum of ALC offerings.
  • Drive specifications toward all ALC offerings with consulting engineers.
  • Encourage preference for Automated Logic offerings with owner accounts.
  • Apply technical knowledge to write project specifications and proposals.
  • Utilize sales tools effectively (CRM, estimating software, etc.) to plan, document progress, and increase business opportunities.
  • Generate high activity to fuel the sales pipeline and manage opportunities through the sales cycle to close.
  • Collaborate with internal staff to deliver quality results and ensure customer happiness.
  • Work with other Sales Engineers to improve branch business results.
  • Advocate for customers in all interactions.
  • Attend and present at trade shows.
  • Participate in professional organizations.
  • Represent ALC as a leader in local industry associations.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of HVAC controls industry experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Expert technical experience with HVAC Controls.
  • Ability to value‑engineer control designs with alternative solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 360 applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective communication at all levels.
  • Team player willing to collaborate on projects.
Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 and $, adjusted for skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications. Additional compensation may include short‑term cash incentives subject to plan requirements.
