Inside the Role

Selec Trucks of America is looking for a salesperson to create new and maintain existing customers. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for incoming inquiries and walk‑in customers at the Selec Truck of Tampa location. The position requires prospecting by phone, making appointments, and handling incoming phone and internet inquiries and customer visits to the facility. Sales representatives are required to keep in contact with customers throughout the sales process and follow up with them after the sale.

A database of prospects as well as customers is to be maintained. This role is geared towards those who enjoy a fast‑paced work environment with a base salary and great commission structure. The representative will also demonstrate and sell previously owned Freightliner and other brand commercial trucks and extended warranties to customers, ensuring their satisfaction and maintaining inventory online for marketing to prospective customers.

We Take Care of Our Team Position offers a starting base salary range of $58,656.00 plus commission

Pay offered depends on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What

You Drive at DTNA:
  • Work with management to establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business for Selec Trucks Center’s products and programs.

  • Make telephone calls and contact existing and prospective customers.

  • Work with management to resolve customer problems and complaints.

  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports such as daily call reports and weekly work plans using the company customer relationship management tool.

  • Achieve sales goals through sales skills, sales process, and time management.

Knowledge You Should Bring:
  • Excellent customer experience management skills.

  • Proficient use of the MS Office suite.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Organized and self‑motivated.

  • Attain Class B CDL within the first 180 days of employment.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have:
  • BS/BA degree is preferred.

  • Previous sales experience is preferred.

  • 5‑7 years of transportation experience preferred.

  • Customer mining experience.

  • Previous advertising or marketing experience.

  • Ability to negotiate in a multicultural business environment.
