About This Role

As an HVAC Controls Sales Specialist, you will be crucial to the business by expanding ALC’s customer base and working to exceed sales targets. We are looking for a team member who is a self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, excels at building relationships, and has outstanding customer service. This role will provide you with the opportunity to grow your clientele and help coach less experienced sales specialists.

This role may sit in Southwest Florida; preference will be given to candidates that sit in Manatee, Charlotte, or Collier counties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting in greenfield southwest Florida.
  • Promote the Automated Logic Brand via ALFO not independent dealers.
  • Secure new logos for ALFO in south Florida.
  • Expand ALC Florida’s footprint.
  • Increase ALC Florida’s new orders.
  • Increase ALC Florida’s revenue.
  • Manage and grow assigned territory or group of accounts of product offerings Achieve annual sales and gross margin targets.
  • Develop long-term relationships and build partnerships with assigned accounts such as owners, contractors, and consulting engineers.
  • Perform take-offs and bid projects with the full spectrum of ALC offerings.
  • Drive specifications towards all ALC offerings with assigned consulting engineers.
  • Drive a preference for Automated Logic offerings with assigned owner accounts.
  • Apply technical knowledge and experience to write project specifications and proposals.
  • Utilize sales tools effectively (CRM, estimating software, etc.) to plan and document progress as well as increase business opportunities within accounts.
  • Generate a high level of activity to feed the sales pipeline and manage opportunities to successfully move them through the sales cycle to close.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal staff to deliver quality results and ensure customer happiness.
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with other Sales Engineers to improve branch business results.
  • Act as the customers ‘advocate in the interactions.
  • Attend and present at trade shows.
  • Participate in professional organizations.
  • Represent ALC as a leader in local industry associations.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of HVAC controls industry experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Expert Technical experience with HVAC Controls.
  • Ability to value engineer control designs with alternative solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 360 applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects.
Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $ annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
