Role Overview

Manage about 10–15 named accounts with a mix of white‑space and existing customers, sell the full Proofpoint Platform, and work closely with internal and external ecosystem partners to expand the Proofpoint footprint and protect customers from advanced threats. The Named Account Manager reports to the Named Account Sales Director.

Responsibilities
  • Consistent track record of over achievement
  • High level of weekly activity with customers and partners
  • Continued engagement with existing accounts
  • Meet and exceed revenue expectations
  • Maintain an active account plan
  • Deliver quarterly Customer Business Reviews
  • Secure renewals and educate on the Proofpoint roadmap
  • Engage in continued education: roadmap, new solutions, integrations, and industry news
  • Deliver accurate forecasts while maintaining clean and clear Salesforce reporting
  • Act as a team player and contribute to the overall success of the team through result‑driven activity
  • Must reside in Northern or Southern Florida
Qualifications
  • Clearly develop and execute a path to plan with a focus on forecast accuracy and SFDC hygiene
  • Relentless attention to detail and a never‑give‑up attitude with a high level of activity—including customer and partner meetings focused on executive selling (CISO, CIO, CMO, etc.)
  • Strong presentation skills and technical understanding of cybersecurity
  • High sales activity of 6–10 customer and partner meetings per week, plus 6 hours of dedicated prospecting per week; ability to prospect and close business
  • Minimum 5 years of field sales experience selling complex cybersecurity solutions (or related field) managing medium and large accounts
  • Demonstrable track record of success
  • Experience working with channel partners and selling via two‑tier distribution
  • Track record of developing complex, multi‑product/multi‑year proposals
  • Engaged presentations focused on customer need while delivering overall solution value
  • Ability to identify customer business drivers
  • Use‑case and business‑value selling
  • Ability to quarterback a multitude of internal and external resources while managing different personalities and competing priorities
