Role Overview

The Group Sales Account Executive plays a key role supporting the University of South Florida in Tampa. The position focuses on achieving annual group ticket revenue goals by driving new business, building relationships with local organizations, and creating memorable group experiences at USF Athletics events. The role also contributes to the sales campaigns and momentum behind South Florida’s new on‑campus football stadium, set to open in 2027.

Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue through the sale of group ticket packages and multi‑game packages for USF Athletics.
  • Generate new business by developing relationships with youth organizations, schools, nonprofits, and corporate groups through outbound calls, networking, referrals, and social selling.
  • Execute a high volume of daily touchpoints and outreach efforts, building and maintaining a strong pipeline of group prospects.
  • Lead virtual presentations and in‑person meetings to showcase group experiences, season ticket plans, and game day offerings.
  • Identify and maximize opportunities to upsell and cross‑sell group outings, special experiences, and season or multi‑game packages.
  • Meet or exceed established group sales revenue and engagement goals.
  • Provide exceptional service by managing relationships from prospecting through game day, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all groups.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute group events and in‑game experiences.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of group‑focused events, theme nights, and fan engagement initiatives.
  • Support game day operations, including hosting group leaders, servicing clients, and enhancing the overall fan experience.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions and sales activity within CRM systems.
  • Contribute to a positive, competitive team environment while actively participating in sales meetings, training sessions, and team initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1‑2 years of sales experience, preferred in ticketing.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Coachable with a growth mindset; self‑motivated, team‑ and career‑oriented.
  • Professional behavior and appearance at all times.
  • Strong self‑awareness, emotional intelligence, interpersonal conflict‑resolution, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi‑task.
  • Strong communication skills with verbal, non‑verbal, and written proficiency and active listening.
  • Adaptive learning ability and multi‑dimensional mindset.
  • Goal‑oriented in driving revenue, service, or daily operations.
  • Problem‑identification and solution skills while sustaining day‑to‑day operations.

Working Conditions
  • Primarily office environment; expected to attend athletic event(s) and departmental events as scheduled.
  • Requires ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • May require limited travel on rare occasions.
