Business Development, Sales Representative, B2B Sales
Most payroll sales jobs pay you once for a sale and move on. At SES, when you close a client, you earn a commission today — and then you keep earning on that same client every single year you're with us, for as long as they stay. Build your book, and your book pays you back. That's not a metaphor. It's how our comp plan is actually built.
If you've spent the last 3-5 years selling payroll or HCM services — you already know what it feels like to close a great account and then watch all the future value of that relationship belong entirely to the company. We built SES differently on purpose.
What you'll do- Prospect, network, and build relationships with local Tampa Bay businesses who need a better payroll partner
- Run client meetings and presentations, and put together proposals that actually solve problems
- Close new payroll clients and guide them through a smooth implementation
- Stay close to your clients after the sale — check in, spot opportunities, ask for referrals
- Own your CRM and your pipeline like it's your business, because in a real sense, it is
- Base salary
: competitive, paid on our regular payroll schedule — not a draw, not a teaser rate - 10% commission on every new client's first-year payroll service charges
- 5% residual commission, every year after
, on every active client you've ever sold — for as long as you're with SES and they're with us - Accelerators once you exceed your annual goal, so your best year doesn't just feel good, it pays like it
- Monthly commission payouts — you don't wait a quarter to see what you earned
A rep who builds a steady book over a few years isn't just earning a paycheck anymore. They're earning equity in their own client relationships. That's the difference between a payroll sales job and a payroll sales career.
What we offer- Health insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with company match
- Real PTO, not a token week
- A hybrid schedule — in-office for training, team selling, and collaboration; in the field and remote for prospecting and client work
- A company small enough that your name is known and your wins are noticed — not a territory number in a system run by a company three states away
- 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in payroll, HCM, PEO, ASO or a closely related service industry
- A track record of hitting or exceeding quota, and the references to back it up
- Someone who treats client relationships as long-term assets, not one-and-done transactions
- Self-starters who can prospect and build a local network in the Tampa Bay market
- Comfortable with CRM discipline and a structured sales process
You've helped build revenue for a big company before. Here, you build something that's yours — a client base that pays you year after year, in a market where you can actually be the face of the company instead of one rep among thousands. If you're tired of being a number, let's talk.
