Role Description The Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL. This role focuses on engaging company-provided leads, consulting with prospects to understand their coverage needs, and presenting suitable carrier products and solutions. The Sales Associate will conduct follow-up calls and meetings, maintain accurate records in the CRM system, and manage a growing book of business to build residual income.
Daily responsibilities include meeting individual and team sales targets, collaborating with colleagues and leadership on strategy, participating in training and coaching sessions, and staying current on carrier offerings and industry regulations. The role also involves contributing to a positive, high-energy office culture and supporting customers with ethical, compliant, and customer-first recommendations.
Qualifications
- Proven ability in customer engagement, relationship building, and consultative sales to understand client needs and present appropriate solutions.
- Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to clearly explain products, handle questions, and collaborate with team members.
- Goal-oriented mindset with time management, organization, and follow-up skills to manage leads, track activities, and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Comfort working with technology, including CRM systems, basic office software, and digital tools used for lead management and reporting.
- Willingness to learn health insurance products and industry guidelines, with a commitment to ethical, customer-focused selling practices.
- Ability to thrive in an on-site, fast-paced office setting and adapt to performance-based incentives and changing business priorities.
- Previous experience in sales, insurance, or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications in business, marketing, or insurance are a plus.
