Chain Manager

Johnson Brothers is a leading family-owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer, delivering exceptional service since 1953.

• Develop working relationships with major chain customers for each chain assigned.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and provide timely, superior customer service.
• Understand customer needs and sell business solutions accordingly.
• Maintain close relationships with Brand Manager counterparts, communicate account goals, and guide them to business opportunities.
• Prioritize corporate and national supplier efforts within each corporate customer account to ensure Johnson Brothers is their national account distributor of choice.
• Maintain account profile and customer database.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel from the branch to the buyers.
• Introduce new items to buyers for placement and submit new item forms in a timely manner.
• Assemble presentations for effective sales calls to key buyers.
• Assist in attaining sales and distribution goals that pertain to the Johnson Brothers yearly business plan.
• Report all activities to managers in a timely manner for execution in trade.
• Ensure all pricing is current in all chains.
• Provide updates and recaps of ad activities, summaries of meetings to the general managers.
• Review and check all pricing and pricing forms submitted by Johnson Brothers to accounts for accuracy.
• Present and close programs to buyers.
• Follow up in trade to ensure programs are executed.
• Develop, maintain, and provide buyers with sales numbers, pricing programs and opportunities.
• Handle state issues of assigned accounts: sales, operations, and compliance.
• Conduct semi-annual business reviews.
• Perform administrative duties including reviewing activity with management to determine progress in attaining objectives and eliminating inefficiencies and costly errors when implementing programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• Proven track record of creating and presenting successful marketing platforms and concepts that drive incremental business across the enterprise.
• Previous experience presenting presentations to groups and senior management is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to become a consultative partner to ensure Corporate Customers that Johnson Brothers is their distributor of choice.
• Self-starter and driven personality to achieve corporate account objectives.
• Understanding of account level P&Ls and ROI.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technical programs as assigned.
• Candidate must pass a criminal background check and MVR.
