The RoleThe Event Sales Manager drives revenue growth by owning the full sales cycle across inbound leads and outbound business development. The role focuses on pipeline growth, account conversion, and delivering high‑quality client experiences that keep guests coming back.
Responsibilities and
Key Duties:
- Execute the full sales cycle: manage a high‑volume inbound pipeline and perform consistent outbound prospecting, including daily Power Hours.
- Own each stage of the sale—from first inquiry, through venue tour, proposal, and close.
- Deliver in‑person selling experiences via venue tours and client touchpoints that convert opportunities.
- Grow accounts by identifying upsell opportunities and maximizing the value of each client relationship.
- Provide a Best‑in‑Class Guest Experience, from initial inquiry through post‑event follow‑up.
- Partner with Operations and the Culinary Team to ensure flawless event execution.
- Maintain detailed, accurate communication on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to prevent day‑of issues.
- Represent Topgolf’s brand with professionalism and hospitality in every interaction.
- Stay sharp on business performance: review daily metrics, key numbers, and lead rotations to track progress and identify gaps.
- Maintain pipeline accuracy and data integrity to support forecasting.
- Identify opportunities for sales process improvement and share them with leadership.
- Drive community awareness of Topgolf through networking and professional engagement.
- Operate as a team player: participate in daily huddles, weekly sales meetings, and 1:1s with sales leadership.
- Stay aligned on priorities, targets, and execution standards across the venue.

- Customer Focus – Build strong relationships; anticipate and meet client needs; follow up for satisfaction; improve the client experience.
- Communicates Effectively – Deliver clear, concise, professional communications; tailor proposals; share updates.
- Ensures Accountability – Own pipeline performance; monitor metrics; follow through on commitments.
- 5+ years of progressive sales experience, including leadership of direct reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- Proven success in high‑volume events or hospitality sales environments.
- Progressive, relevant experience within the hospitality industry preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM;
Excel and reporting tools. - Minimum age 21 years, as required by state or local law.
- Remain stationary for extended periods, including working at a desk and within the venue.
- Move throughout the venue for site tours, event setup, and engagement with guests and operations.
- Occasionally lift, carry, or move up to 25 pounds.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and electronically.
- Hear and respond to verbal communication in a venue environment with moderate to high background noise.
- Visual acuity sufficient to read documents, screens, and BEOs.
