As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Plumbing Sales Advisor to join our team and help homeowners make informed decisions about their plumbing systems.
Job Summary
As a Plumbing Sales Advisor at Hawkins Service Company, you will be responsible for meeting with homeowners to assess their plumbing needs and recommend repair, replacement, and upgrade solutions. This role combines technical knowledge, relationship building, and consultative sales to provide customers with the best solutions for their homes. The Plumbing Sales Advisor will educate customers on available options, prepare accurate estimates, and work closely with the operations and installation teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience from initial consultation through project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Meet with residential homeowners to evaluate plumbing systems and identify repair or replacement opportunities.
Conduct thorough plumbing inspections and explain findings in a professional, customer-friendly manner.
Present multiple solution options based on the customer's needs, budget, and long-term goals.
Prepare accurate estimates and proposals using company pricing software.
Close sales while maintaining the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
Educate customers on plumbing products, fixtures, water heaters, water treatment systems, repiping, sewer solutions, and preventative maintenance options.
Coordinate with dispatch, installation teams, warehouse, and management to ensure projects are scheduled and completed efficiently.
Follow up with customers throughout the sales and installation process to ensure complete satisfaction.
Maintain accurate customer records, sales documentation, and job notes within company software.
Achieve individual sales goals while maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings.
Stay current on plumbing products, technologies, financing options, and industry trends.
Represent Hawkins Service Company professionally in appearance, communication, and conduct.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and ethical sales practices.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2–5 years of residential plumbing experience, plumbing sales experience, or a combination of both preferred.
Strong understanding of residential plumbing systems and common repair and replacement solutions.
Previous in-home sales experience is highly preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
Comfortable using tablets, Service Titan software.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass background and drug screening requirements.
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk residential properties and inspect plumbing systems in attics, crawl spaces, garages, and exterior areas.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely operate company vehicles.
