• The continued development of the ascidian model of development and immune maturation.
• The expansion of our current understanding of how distinct environmental cues influence development and pursue translational opportunities with clinical faculty.
• Serve as a mentor to trainees at all levels.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Serve as a dependable and responsible member of a BSL‑2 certified, basic, translational, and biomedical research laboratory.
• Analyze data and prepare manuscripts for publication in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Present at local and international meetings.
• Develop an instructional portfolio by serving as a guest lecturer when possible.
• Help to draft grant proposals for submission at the local, regional, and federal levels.
