Medical Science Liaison, Hematology — FL, TN, GA, AL, SC, PR What You Will DoThis is a field‑based position for the Oncology Therapeutic Area Medical Science Liaison (MSL) group within the Scientific Affairs organization. In this vital role, you will interact with Hematology healthcare decision‑makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen's organizational goals and objectives.
- Communicate complex cutting‑edge scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision‑makers, including those at academic medical centers.
- Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision‑makers.
- Identify and train members of Amgen's speakers bureau and ensure they are updated on new data.
- Respond to requests for investigator‑sponsored research proposals.
- Support Amgen‑sponsored research.
- Provide insights based on field interactions with healthcare thought leaders to Amgen partners.
- Provide scientific support, consistent with the MSL compliance standards, for commercial, corporate accounts, and other matrix colleagues who may forward HCP inquiries.
- Cultivate scientific relationships between Amgen and fellows in training.
- Lead and/or participate on committees or project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadership.
- Seek opportunities to support the MSL value proposition, achieve results, and set an example for others to follow by consistently demonstrating Amgen Values and Leadership Attributes.
- Demonstrate tact and professionalism when communicating and interacting with individuals.
- Exemplify transparency and innovation through words, actions, and decisions.
The versatile professional we seek is a key collaborator with the following qualifications.
Basic Qualifications- Doctorate degree.
- Masters degree & 3 years of Medical Affairs experience.
- Bachelors degree & 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
- Pharm.
D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (Other doctoral degrees are considered). - 3 or more years of experience in a medically related field, including 1 or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research. Experience may include post‑doctoral training.
- Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
- Hematology therapeutic area expertise.
