Martinez and Company, Inc invites experienced Florida Class “D” License Security Officers to join our Critical Infrastructure Security Team at the Port of Tampa and/or Manatee. The role is part‑time, 2nd shift, with flexible scheduling, 12:00‑24:00 hrs, and competitive compensation.

Base pay range $18.00/hr – $20.00/hr
. Starting compensation is $18.00–$20.45/hr and includes 27 hours of paid training between minimum wage and $18/hr orientation is a 4‑hour unpaid pre‑hire session.

• Provide customer service and execute safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving skills.

• Approved Florida Class “D” license from DOACS.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• High school diploma, college degree, or valid state GED certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Minimum one (1) year of work experience in security or US military/law enforcement‑related positions.
• Flexible schedule; ability to work days, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, personally owned transportation for commute to various job sites.
• 24/7 access to a smartphone (Android, iPhone, or Windows) and computer with internet access.
• Intermediate computer skills: emailing, web browsing, MS Word, Adobe PDF.
• Independent work style with minimal supervision; self‑motivated and resourceful.
• Strong English communication skills, reading and writing; ability to read and interpret complex instructions, SOPs, post orders, laws, regulations.
• Physical ability to walk up and down limited‑space areas, work in traffic control areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Professional appearance: neat uniform, cover any tattoos, adhere to grooming standards.
• Pass drug test and background investigation.
• Complete all mandated training in accordance with deadlines and responsibilities.

• Florida Armed Class “G” Security License and 28‑hour Armed Security Officer Course.
• Knowledge of maritime security enforcement guidelines, MTSA, and Hillsborough County regulations.
• CPR and first aid certifications or ability to obtain them.
• Prior veteran, military/law enforcement experience preferred; documentation supporting entitlement to preference required at time of application.
