As a Security Officer - Education Site Gatehouse Driver in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in an educational location, you will support access control by greeting students, staff, and visitors, checking credentials, managing sign-ins, and monitoring entry points and cameras for unusual activity.

You will communicate clearly with school personnel, respond to security-related concerns, and help maintain a welcoming, orderly campus environment. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, processing visitor check-ins and/or credentials, and directing guests to approved destinations per site procedures.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas through observation and required systems, reporting unusual activity and/or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and documenting events according to post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting hazards, unsecured doors, and/or maintenance concerns and communicating findings through required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
