Overview

Security Guard – Part-Time, Monday and Wednesday Evenings

Security Guard’s primary responsibilities are to carry out tasks that provide safety and security to the campus associates, students, and guests. All Concorde associates are required to display professionalism and uphold Concorde’s Mission and the core values of respect for the individual, integrity, teamwork, customer service, and achievement.

• Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas
• Ensure students and guests have proper credentials for accessing buildings, including issuing guest badges
• Direct guests to the front desk or Dental Hygiene Clinic
• Observe premises for unwelcome visitors
• Open buildings in the morning
• Keep a daily security log and complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
• Monitor alarms and security cameras
• Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly
• Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed
• Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly, including alerting the Campus President of security issues
• Interact with parking lot security managed by landlord on potential issues
• Stay on premises until evening guard arrives for transition
• Perform other duties, as assigned

• 2-3 years as a security guard
• Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations
• Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed
