PositionsUnarmed Security Licensed D Flex Officers – Tampa, Clearwater, St. Pete.
Compensation and ScheduleBase pay $18.00 per hour. Requires multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays, with 24/7 on‑call availability. Flex officers cover open posts, vacation requests, extra coverage and call‑outs, and must be ready to fill shifts on a 4‑hour notice.
Responsibilities- Cover open posts, vacation requests, extra coverage or call‑outs.
- Respond to shift requests within 4 hours.
- Accept at least three assigned shifts; failure to accept three scheduled shifts may result in removal from the flex program.
- Respond promptly to calls or texts regarding shift openings.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting 50+ lbs, foot patrols, stair travel, and working in inclement weather.
- Participate in cross‑training to attempt up to 40 hours per week, though not guaranteed.
- One year or more of relevant security experience.
- Valid Security D License.
- Valid Florida driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Clean driving record with no at‑fault accidents in the past three years.
- Excellent communication skills and courteous professional manner.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Strong observational skills.
- Experience using two‑way radio communication.
- Excellent multi‑tasking abilities.
