Position: Armed Security Officer – 1st Shift PT

Location: Tampa, Florida (Hillsborough County)

Employment Type: Part‑Time, 1st Shift (Mon–Sun, 07:00 – 19:00)

Starting Compensation: $18 – $21 per hour (Includes 27 hours of paid training at minimum wage and $18/hour). Final interview includes a 4‑hour unpaid pre‑hire orientation.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

• Possession of an approved Florida Class “D” & “G” license from the DOACS.
• Completion of an approved State of Florida 40‑hour unarmed and 28‑hour armed security officer course.
• Proof of a high‑school diploma, college degree, or a valid state GED certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Minimum work experience — any current or previous U.S. military or law‑enforcement experience (documentation supporting entitlement to preference must be provided at the time of application).
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to commute to various job sites as assigned.
• 24/7 access to a smartphone (Android, iPhone, or Windows) and computer with internet access.
• Intermediate computer skills, including emailing, web browsing, MS Word, and Adobe PDF.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; self‑motivated, resourceful, and able to prioritize and accomplish job‑related goals and tasks based on training and experience.
• Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing complex instructions, procedures, SOPs, post orders, statutes, laws, and regulations.
