Full‑time 3rd shift security officer operating in Hillsborough & Manatee Counties, FL. Shift covers Monday through Sunday between 19:00 and 7:00. Starting compensation $18.00 to $20.45 per hour, includes 27 paid training hours.

Working primarily at the Port of Tampa and/or Manatee with access control and security operations, liaising with local and federal law enforcement under Homeland Security protocols.

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments may vary by client site.

• Approved Florida Class "D" license from the DOACS.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Proof of high school diploma, college degree, or valid state GED certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Minimum one year of work experience in security or supervisory‑related positions.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, personally owned transportation and ability to commute to various job sites.
• 24/7 access to a smartphone (Android, iPhone, or Windows) and computer with internet access.
• Intermediate computer skills including email, web browsing, MS Office, and Adobe PDF.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; self‑motivated and resourceful; able to prioritize tasks.
• Strong English reading and writing skills; ability to interpret complex instructions and procedures.
• Ability to safely work in a variety of environments, including commercial and industrial locations.
• Ability to obtain and wear personal uniform items as required.
• Good physical condition, able to walk, climb stairs in limited spaces, work in traffic control areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain neat, professional appearance and comprehensive uniform with appropriate grooming standards.
• Pass drug test and background investigation.
• Complete all mandated training within deadlines and responsibilities.

• Approved Florida Armed Class "G" Security License and completion of 28‑hour State of Florida Armed Security Officer Course.
• Knowledge of maritime security enforcement guidelines, MTSA, and Hillsborough County laws and regulations.
• CPR and first aid certifications or willingness to obtain them.
• Prior veteran, military, or law enforcement experience preferred; entitlement documentation required.

$18.00 – $20.45 per hour
