Hill York seeks a Pipefitter who lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, welds, and maintains piping and piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, and industrial processing systems.

• Layout, fit, assemble, and install various pipe systems
• Inspect work for correct installation and best practices for specifications
• Follow detailed work and plans of installation for job
• Cuts pipe using saw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine
• Threads pipe using threading machine
• Bends pipe using pipe bending tools
• Assembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including steel, copper, HDPE, and PVC
• Connects pipes using threaded, welding, grooved, soldered, brazes, fused, and hand tools
• Secures pipes to structure with brackets, anchors, pipe stands, clamps, and hangers
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment and methods based on project requirements
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Weld components using manual or semi‑automatic welding equipment in various positions such as vertical, horizontal, or overhead

• Ability to read and understand blueprints, documents, and submittals
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend and twist
• Ability to push, pull, lift, carry up to 60lbs
• Ability to climb ladders
