The Opportunity

We’re seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic / Installer to support our commercial and multifamily roofing operations. This role is critical to the fabrication and installation of custom sheet metal components that ensure long-term roof performance, water tightness, and a professional finished appearance.

You’ll work closely with foremen, technicians, and production teams to fabricate and install high-quality metal systems in accordance with ARC standards and Florida Building Code requirements.

• Fabricate custom sheet metal components including coping caps, drip edge, counterflashing, gutters, downspouts, and trim.
• Install sheet metal systems on commercial and multifamily roofing projects per project specifications.
• Operate sheet metal brakes, shears, and related fabrication equipment safely and accurately.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, details, and field measurements.
• Ensure proper fastening, sealing, and termination of metal components to maintain watertight conditions.
• Perform precise field measurements and layouts.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites and shop areas.
• Follow all Aderhold Roofing safety protocols, including fall protection and OSHA standards.
• Communicate effectively with foremen and project managers to support efficient project completion.
• Uphold ARC’s standards of craftsmanship, quality, and professionalism.

• Experience in commercial roofing sheet metal fabrication and installation.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate layouts.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable working at heights and on roofs.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and professionalism.

• Experience with coping systems, custom flashings, and architectural metal.
• Knowledge of Florida Building Code related to roofing and sheet metal.
• Manufacturer-specific training or certifications.
• Shop and field fabrication experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
