Security Systems Programmer

MCS is hiring for aSecurity Systems Programmerin Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.

TheSecurity Systems Programmermust demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects, products, and vendors. The Security Systems Programmerwill require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.
Typical duties include:

• Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, et cetera)
• Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes
• Run electrical wiring; related activities include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs
• Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation

Required:

Educational Requirements:High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certification Requirements:

• The ability to obtain a JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) badge.

Experience Requirements:

• 3+ years of field experience in installing and programming the following:
• Access Control: AMAG, Genetec, Lenel
