Role Summary

The Sheet metal Foreman oversees and coordinates the installation of HVAC duct systems and equipment on construction projects. This role ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with codes, specifications, and company standards.

Essential Duties
  • Foster a culture of quality, integrity, safety, and teamwork.
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of assigned crew members to ensure quality, safety, and productivity
    • Attend weekly job site meetings in-person to communicate and address constraints.
    • Read and interpret plans, blueprints, submittals, and job orders to determine work methods and requirements.
    • Plan, organize, and assign tasks to effectively utilize labor, equipment, and materials.
    • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and communicate updates to supervisors or project managers.
    • Maintain accurate records including daily timekeeping, daily logs, safety documentation, weekly labor tracking, and all other required forms.
    • Inspect work in progress and upon completion to ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
    • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
    • Ensure all crew members follow company policies and safety procedures, conducting safety meetings and job hazard analyses as required.
    • Provide hands‑on training, mentorship, and guidance to apprentices and journeymen.
    • Identify potential issues or delays and communicate them proactively to project management and superintendent.
    • Ensure job sites are kept clean, organized, and secure.
    • Perform other duties as required to support project success and company goals.
    • Provide accurate projections for job completion with Trade Supers.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of HVAC Sheet metal experience, including journeyman‑level work and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • In-depth understanding of codes, commercial HVAC systems, blueprints, and construction methods.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and scheduling practices.
  • Proficient in tools and trade math.
  • Ability to manage personnel, allocate resources, and enforce company policies and safety procedures.
  • Proficient with basic computer applications and scheduling or reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, ACC, Procore, Assemble, planning calendars).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Understand how to measure duct to be fabricated.
  • Will be required to work hands on with the crew.
  • AHCA understanding, FGI understanding, NFPA proficiency.
  • Manage, coordinate and schedule Sub Contractors under your specific trade.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
