AV / Low-Voltage Technician – High-End Residential

$25–$38/hr | Control4 | Luxury Homes | Tampa

Hive designs and installs high-end home automation systems for some of Tampa’s most beautiful homes. We’re growing fast and looking for an experienced AV / low-voltage technician who takes pride in clean work, understands the details, and wants to work on better projects with a team that actually cares about quality.

This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for someone who can work independently, make smart decisions in the field, and deliver quality installs.

• Building clean, labeled, quality equipment racks
• Installing TVs, speakers, cameras, and structured wiring
• Installing and measuring motorized shades
• Installing alarm and security components
• Installing static-color tape lighting, transformers, and basic lighting systems
• Understanding lighting concepts including warm-to-dim
• Working with Control4 systems
• Installing and setting up networks
• Performing basic troubleshooting (AV, cameras, TVs, speakers, networking)

You won’t be rushed to “just make it work.” Clean, correct installs matter here.

• Have 3–7 years of AV / low-voltage experience
• Are comfortable working independently in finished, high-end homes
• Take pride in neat wiring, labeling, and documentation
• Understand residential jobsite etiquette
• Can troubleshoot without panicking
• Want to grow your skills, not just punch a clock

• You dislike detailed work or finishing jobs cleanly
• You prefer rough commercial installs or rushed hack jobs
• You need constant supervision to stay on task

• $24–$38 per hour
