About the Role
Audio Visual Helper in Tampa, FL
. Full-time, permanent with benefits.
Assist experienced technicians with installation, testing, and maintenance of Audio‑Visual, data, voice, networking, and fiber optic systems on commercial job sites. Requires good communication skills, teamwork, and staying abreast of industry trends and regulations.
Typical Duties- Assist technicians with installation of Audio‑Visual, data, voice, network, and fiber optic cabling systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Pull, route, label, and organize low‑voltage cabling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with mounting displays, speakers, cameras, racks, and other A/V equipment.
- Work flexible hours including nights and/or weekends.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Certification: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge. OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Experience: Previous construction, electrical, low‑voltage, or Audio Visual experience is a plus but not required. Ability to travel to project sites outside of the Tampa Bay Area. Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction site safety.
Other Essential Functions- Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required certifications or licenses for the duration of the project or contract.
- Must exhibit professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity.
- Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must communicate verbally and in writing with external customers and internal staff at all levels.
- Must maintain safety and OSHA compliance; may require motor vehicle operation and valid driver’s license.
