We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Rigger to join our team. This position will work closely with our Project Facilitator for all Vessel rigging requirements. Rigger will be responsible for daily inspections of their equipment. This individual must be organized, a team leader, and a good communicator. One of the main priorities for this role will be to assess and comply with all WCY safety compliance requirements, with safety being a top priority.
Key Responsibilities- Operate equipment including but not limited to forklift, man lift, lull.
- Rigging requirements for movement including but not limited to generators, furniture, motors, hard tops and domes.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure coordinated operations.
- Conduct daily inspections of rigging equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed in accordance with OSHA standards and company policies.
- Identifying risks and hazards.
- Identifying and determining rigging and hitch configurations.
- Determining rigging capacity.
- Estimating measurements like gravity centers and weight.
- Identifying appropriate points to lift and move equipment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3-5 years' experience required.
- Skills:
- Rigging and Signal certified.
- Good understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Forklift certification.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a marine and industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying weather conditions.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be necessary.
