Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Chiller Technician with a can‑do attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and an active EPA Certification.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance and repair of commercial systems including air‑cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, etc.
  • Diagnose and repair machine and equipment defects including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Inspect and test system components to ensure proper operation, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, general servicing, and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems.
  • Assist in installing, retrofitting, and commissioning commercial chiller systems and related HVAC equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to assess and repair HVAC systems.
  • Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial chiller and refrigeration equipment.
  • Be comfortable and knowledgeable in electrical components, timers, contractors, relays.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Provide high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on‑site customer interface.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients regarding maintenance schedules, energy efficiency, and system improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed service reports to customers.

  • Deliver elite customer service to remain the first choice for HVAC needs.
Organizational Alignment

This position reports to the local Branch President and is responsible for engaging with the service team and all customers.

Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Active EPA Certification.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a commercial HVAC setting with chillers.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Technical training in HVAC or refrigeration.
  • Availability for flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write correspondence; and to effectively communicate with customers, including explaining problems and solutions in a customer‑friendly manner.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, compute rates, ratios, and percent, and interpret graphs.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions, manage problems involving several variables, and prioritize multiple tasks.

Physical Demands

Regular use of hands, standing, walking, sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds; vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and focus.
