Service Technician - Tampa, FL

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled technician for on-site maintenance and repair of vocational and truck utility equipment. Candidates may be veterans, military transition personnel, National Guard and Reserve members, military spouses, wounded warriors, and their caregivers.

Tampa, Florida (On‑site)

• Assess, diagnose, repair and replace damaged or worn parts on a variety of vocational and utility trucks and equipment.
• Provide repair and maintenance to medium/heavy‑duty trucks; hydraulics and electrical skills are a plus.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services, and labor to track costs and ensure accurate pricing.
• Submit all work/repair orders to supervisor for approval to maintain budgets.
• Perform all duties following best practices for a safe work environment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings hosted by Custom Truck One Source.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with diesel, medium or heavy truck, or related equipment (construction, farm, military).
• General mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, construction, farm, or truck operations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document repair activity.

• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training.
• 3+ years of maintenance and repair of utility trucks and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own tools.

High School/GED.

Physical effort to move objects and tools; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling; high dexterity.
