Ergon Associated Asphalt Partners - Skilled Tradesman - Diesel Mechanic

We are family‑owned with locations throughout the US, maintaining a small‑company feel. We are recruiting for a Skilled Tradesman – Diesel Mechanic for our Tampa Causeway location.

• Reports to Transport Manager.
• The position will also interface with all employees within the terminal, as well as customers, vendors and employees from other parts of the company. Specifically, this individual will work closely with outside vendors for any necessary maintenance and repairs within the terminal requiring third party engagement.

• Perform general maintenance on heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for equipment.
• Maintain parts inventory for repairs and maintenance.
• Order required parts and equipment needed for general maintenance and repair.
• Perform needed welding and fabrication tasks as warranted.
• Other duties as required by Transport Manager.

• General computer skills and PC knowledge.
• Solid, proven mechanical skills.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Associate's Degree or certification in areas of specialty preferred.
• Skilled trades experience including diesel mechanics, welding, and fabricating.
• Stable work history.

• Stand and/or walk for long periods on concrete floors and outside surfaces.
• Work outside in varying weather conditions, including cold, hot and humid temperatures.
• Manual dexterity; ability to reach, bend and move with agility.
• Lift and move up to 75 lbs.
