Alvarez Plumbing Co is seeking two experienced HVAC Service Technicians to join our Field Operations team. As an HVAC Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and boiler systems. Key Responsibilities
  • Install, diagnose, and maintain HVAC and boiler systems in residential and light commercial settings
  • Conduct inspections and testing to verify system compliance and locate malfunctions
  • Communicate with customers to diagnose system issues and recommend solutions
  • Follow all safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Record work performed and materials used; complete work orders accurately
  • Perform leak detection, system balancing, and equipment calibration
  • Install and adjust thermostats, humidistats, timers, and other components
  • Assemble, mount, and connect HVAC components per blueprints
  • Fabricate and install ductwork, pipe, and chassis parts as needed
  • Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of HVAC service and repair experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • EPA Certification required
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across a range of systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specs
  • Excellent communication skills; professional and customer‑focused
  • Able to use hand/power tools, diagnostic equipment, and mobile apps
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., crouch, crawl, climb, and work in varying conditions
