Installation Technician

Qualifications & Responsibilities

• Experience installing CAT 5/6 cable, related support devices, and terminating coaxial cable.
• Experience installing communication systems in buildings, DAS (Distributed Antenna System) preferred.
• Installation and/or repair experience in either two‑way radio, CCTV, security alarms, RF signal distribution, broadband, and low voltage systems preferred.
• Ability to use basic tools and test equipment including hand tools, power drills, multi‑meters, and watt meters.
• Must physically be able to lift 50 lbs., maneuver into and out of heavy equipment and work on ladders and other elevated locations, stand for extended periods, and occasionally work outside in extreme temperatures.
• Ability to understand basic wiring diagrams and basic DC circuit theory is a plus.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, keep up with work schedules, work under pressure, and meet deadlines for delivering quality solutions on time.
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
• OSHA Safety Training and Low Voltage certifications are a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Drug screenings and background checks are part of the hiring process, which may include a Motor Vehicle Record check.
