HVAC Technician
Location: UNIVERSITY OF TAMPA -
Workdays/shifts: Weekdays – morning and afternoon/evening shifts. More details will be provided during the interview process.
Employment Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $24 per hour - $26 per hour
University students with restrictions on number of hours they can work, including international students, should apply for open student worker positions at the school they attend.
What You’ll DoAs a HVAC Technician at Sodexo, you are a problem‑solver and safety promoter. We rely on your expert knowledge and technical skills to identify repair and replacement needs. By keeping others safe, your actions have a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
- Monitor HVAC systems and operations and ensure routine preventive maintenance follows established schedules and standards
- Respond to hot and cold calls, then troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Check, repair and/or replace valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes, and other functional components of the system
- Attend work and show up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and a nurturer of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
- 1 or more years of related work experience.
- Appropriate license/certification for the specific work in the city and state where the work will be done; minimum requirement is EPA CFC Universal Certificate.
- Working knowledge of a variety of HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, variable air, variable refrigerant flow, single/multi‑split and other commercial systems.
- May be required to have previous BMS experience if working in a commercial environment.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
