Crane Operator - Shipyard - Day and Night Shift

Must Have The Following In Order To Apply

• Four (4) years of experience
• Experience operating both hydraulic and friction cranes
• NCCCO certification(LAT [LBC] and TLL)

• Two to three (2-3) years of experience in a shipyard or marine environment preferred

• Knowledge of crane load charts and lift planning
• Ability to work safely in a high-risk, industrial environment

The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of heavy lifting equipment in a shipyard environment. This role requires precision, strong situational awareness, and adherence to all safety regulations while handling materials and equipment.

• Operate crawler cranes, lattice boom cranes, and hydraulic cranes of various sizes
• Operate barge-mounted friction cranes as required
• Perform pre-operational inspections and routine equipment checks
• Safely lift, move, and position materials according to lift plans and site conditions
• Interpret load charts and accurately calculate load weights and capacities
• Assist with rigging operations as needed to ensure proper load securement
• Communicate effectively with riggers, signal persons, and supervisors
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements

This position operates in a shipyard environment with exposure to outdoor elements, heavy equipment, and elevated noise levels. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds regularly.

Full Time position.

$29.57 to $42.09 per hour; depends on experience. Benefits are offered.
