Our Agricultural Research Center has TWO openings for Full-time Farm Techs to help our Agricultural Assistants with field preparation for research purposes. Willing to train the right people.
- Must have a valid Florida Driver's License AND reliable transportation to our center in Wimauma, FL
- Must have a good attitude and be able to work positively in a team environment with people from all backgrounds
- Common tasks for these roles include:
Irrigation, hooking up drip tape, PVC repairs, Tying and planting tomatoes and other crops, changing water filters in different field blocks, cleaning up fields, pulling plastic from different field blocks, some lifting (up to 50lbs a few times a year). - This is a Monday-Friday, daytime hours, 100% outdoors (year-round) position,
- $16.
-16,50 an hour to start, This position is also health insurance (PPO or HMO) eligible (State of Florida /University of Florida plan options with very low premium costs: currently $50 a month for single person, $180 a month for family).
