How You'll Make a Difference

As a Forklift Technician, you'll be a trusted problem-solver for our customers and an experienced hand on our service team. You'll diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment at customer locations and in our shop, helping ensure every machine performs safely and reliably.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, repair, and rebuild equipment. Troubleshoot Hyster and Yale engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, hydraulics, brakes, steering, electrical and lifting systems, and other major components.
  • Keep equipment running safely and reliably. Perform maintenance, inspections, failure analysis, basic welding, and component repairs according to manufacturer specifications and Briggs safety standards.
  • Take ownership of the entire service experience. Maintain accurate service records, manage needed parts and supply, care for your company vehicle, and provide dependable, professional service at customer sites.
  • Help strengthen the team. Complete required technical training and certifications, maintain a Safety-First mindset, and support Service leadership in bringing talented people onto the Briggs team.

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and 3+ years of forklift repair or related industry experience; mechanical or trade school training is preferred.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, troubleshooting ability, and experience using precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and bore gauges.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
