A Brief OverviewAs an Experienced Auto Glass Technician, you will be on the front line of the Safelite customer experience, applying advanced technical expertise and a strong sense of ownership to every job in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
Responsibilities- Provide all vehicle glass repair and replacement services at a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop in the most efficient manner, focusing on safety, quality and exceptional customer service.
- Clean customer vehicles after every job.
- Calibrate automotive safety systems, including troubleshooting and diagnostic testing.
- Operate Safelite’s tools and technologies, such as True Seal®, Ezi‑Wire™, GTS, chemicals (as required by the “Safelite Way of Fitting”), work order and customer administration systems, and MRM technology.
- Operate company and customer vehicles safely throughout the workday.
- Communicate with scheduled customers in‑person, via text and phone; promote and sell Safelite promotional items and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
- Support driving duties monitored through cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance.
- Competitive weekly pay and earning $5 per set of wiper blades added for customer safety.

- Program to buy additional PTO or sell unused time up to 16 hours.
- Up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement.
- Paid training and all the tools and resources needed for success.
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (Preferred).
- Proven experience as an Auto Glass Technician (2+ years preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license; additional license(s) as required to operate a company vehicle.
- Required Safelite Safe Tech™ certification.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body.
- Use of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Operate a motor vehicle in accordance with federal, state and local laws; agree to in‑cab vehicle safety camera/video surveillance.
- Maintain professionalism and passion for outstanding customer service.
- Work safely outside in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures for extended periods.
- Work with chemicals per the “Safelite Way of Fitting.”
- Work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customers.
- Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools for recalibration and troubleshooting.
- Problem‑solving and ability to troubleshoot issues independently and collaboratively.
- Read, write and interpret English language and technical directions.
- Communicate orally (phone) and in writing (computer or other electronic means).
- Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to company uniform and PPE policies.
- Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under pressure.
