General Laborer Job Description – General Laborer

Performs a variety of general labor tasks under direct supervision. Supports site operations through manual work such as lifting, moving, digging, mowing, and assisting with equipment.

To perform this role successfully, the employee must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Load and unload vehicles, materials, and equipment.
• Lift, move, and carry materials and supplies.
• Dig, backfill, and perform other basic ground work.
• Operate push mowers, trimmers, and basic site equipment.
• Perform general site clean-up and assist skilled workers as directed.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

• Education/Experience (Required):
  High School Diploma or GED, and up to 4 years of related experience.
• Education/Experience (Preferred):
  Associate’s Degree, or equivalent experience, with up to 4 years of related experience.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  None required.
• Skills/Abilities:
  Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and perform physical tasks reliably.

• Frequent physical activity; lifting and moving up to 30 lbs.
• Occasional exposure to occupational hazards (cuts, burns, chemicals).
• Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions (dirt, odors, noise, extreme weather).
• Typical setting: outdoor/field labor environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience:
  
  Prior experience in general labor, sanitation, construction, or warehouse work is helpful but not required.
• Skills:
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and work independently or in a team.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded.
• Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
