Painter

Job Summary The Painter is responsible for performing painting and surface preparation work throughout Vinik Sports Group facilities. This role includes patching, sanding, painting, and maintaining a variety of surfaces while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. The Painter will operate painting tools and equipment, handle materials in accordance with safety guidelines, assist other trades as needed, and help maintain a clean and professional environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service while representing Vinik Sports Group in a professional manner.

• Perform basic patching, sanding, and surface preparation to ensure areas are ready for painting.
• Apply paint, primer, and other coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Safely handle and dispose of paints, thinners, solvents, and other materials according to safety guidelines.
• Assist other trades and maintenance team members with projects and repairs as needed.
• Follow daily work assignments and directions from supervisors and senior painters.
• Use and maintain painting tools and equipment safely and properly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of painting techniques, products, and equipment.
• Represent Vinik Sports Group in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Game/Event Night Responsibilities:

• At least two (2) years’ experience in the painting field.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Knowledgeable of painting related equipment.
• Possess a good knowledge of drywall hanging, patching, and finishing.
• Ability to decipher problems and remedy same

Ability to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distracting This is an onsite role Ability to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed Ability to lift/carry/move up to 50lbs Ability to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures Ability to use hands and fingers on office and mobile technology Ability to commute to various venues throughout the Greater Tampa Bay Area Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.

Ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop and squat without any physical movement restriction Ability to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, scissor lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalks Ability to work comfortable around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
