Diesel Shop Foreman

We’re seeking an experienced Diesel Shop Foreman in Tampa FL location to lead a growing maintenance team and oversee daily shop operations. This is a new leadership position for a seasoned professional who can establish strong boundaries, manage mechanics effectively and maintain operational excellence. You’ll report directly to upper management and play a key role in our expansion.

• Previous foreman or lead technician experience
• 7+ years diesel mechanic background with strong diagnostic knowledge
• Valid drivers license with clean MVR
• Leadership and people‑management skills
• Experience with Freightliner International or Volvo diesel engines
• Ability to manage team workload, quality standards and schedule
• Knowledge of fleet PM diagnostics and DOT compliance

• OEM certifications (Cummins Insight Detroit Diagnostic Link Volvo Tech Tool)
• Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
• Background at private fleet operations (prefer not from large national chains)
• Experience with mentoring and technical training
• Familiarity with shop management software and diagnostics platforms

• Base $40-$45hour (depending on experience and personality fit)
• Certification bonuses $1 per online OEM certification (up to $4‑5 year potential)

  Morning shift Monday‑Friday (hours TBD with candidate)
