As our next Diesel Mechanic, you'll be at the heart of our mission—keeping our street sweepers and equipment safe, reliable, and ready to serve the communities that depend on them. In this role, you’ll take ownership of inspections, diagnostics, and repairs, working hands-on with hydraulic, electrical, and air systems to ensure our fleet operates at peak performance.

- Education:
High School or GED - Experience:
2 years of hands-on experience in a shop environment working with hydraulic, electrical, and air pressure systems. – heavy equipment, waste, & recycling services experience preferred - License:
Driver’s License - Tools:
Must provide and maintain basic hand and diagnostic tools necessary to perform the job - Age:
Must be at least 18 years of age - Compliance:
Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, DOT physical, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.

Strong knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical, and other mechanical systems. - Tool Proficiency:
Skilled in using hand tools, shop tools, and precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers) safely and accurately. - Communication & Accountability:
Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and team members, represent the Company appropriately, and promptly report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns.
This posting represents multiple levels within our Mechanic career path. The level and corresponding pay will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, license(s), certifications, and overall qualifications. The anticipated pay range for this posting is $24–$30/hour
. Candidates may be considered for Shop Mechanic, Senior Shop Mechanic, or Shop Mechanic Lead based on their qualifications and the needs of the role.
