Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Youth Care Worker (Coach Counselor) for the Columbus Youth Academy
.
Columbus Youth Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth up to age 19. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based sex offender services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while in the program.
Pompano Youth Academy is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving moderate-risk female youth aged 13 to 18 who require borderline intellectual functioning, major disorder, intensive mental health, behavioral/mental health, and substance abuse services. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while at the program.
Pay : $19.00 / Hr

What you will do: As a Youth Care Worker (Coach Counselor), you will provide 24-hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of our Youth. You will monitor and document behaviors, monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time, and assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.
To be considered, you should: Possess a High School Diploma or GED, have one year of experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position, or 60 hours of college education, and possess a valid Driver’s License.
Schedule: Our Youth Care Workers work 12-hour shifts.
