Job Type: Full‑time
Position SummaryThe Youth Employment Specialist is a direct service provider to all assigned clients responsible for fulfilling Work Based Learning referrals. They communicate directly with referred clients, the client’s supports and with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors to build relationships and properly fulfill the client’s goals. The Youth Employment Specialist coordinates and communicates with the Lead Youth Employment Specialist to discuss placements and activities, attends team planning meetings, reviews payroll for clients, and ensures case notes and deliverables are submitted promptly.

Essential Functions- Develop new business relationships for clients enabling their work‑based learning experiences.
- Assist with intake of new clients to set expectations, complete documentation, and clear clients for work‑based learning.
- Ensure clients are placed in appropriate locations with relevant support levels.
- Create accommodations (task lists, phone reminders, task modifications) to support WBLE success.
- Work with job‑site supervisors to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain effective communication with client families regarding progress, challenges, and issues.
- Keep regular contact with clients and supports via call, text, or email concerning appointments and interviews.
- Create accurate CRM case notes and deliverables; submit to Vocational Rehabilitation for approval and correct errors promptly.
- Review staff training on new policies, procedures, and processes.
- Complete monthly summary reviews on time.
- Communicate with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors to update on clients and address issues.
- Keep shared calendars updated.
- Assist with special programs as needed.
- Drive clients to various locations as needed.
- Complete other required duties as directed.
Estimated average annual pay for full‑time, hourly position: $39,000–$49,000 per year (includes hourly rate plus estimated bonus).

- High school diploma required; some college or a degree in any field preferred.
- No experience necessary; experience with individuals with a disability and/or prior counseling, job placement, job coaching, or work within public vocational rehabilitation programs preferred.
Computer
Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and web‑based database systems.
- Open availability required: must be available during days, evenings, and weekends to match students’ school schedules.
- Must pass a Level 2 background check.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, auto registration, and minimum auto insurance coverage (bodily injury $50,000 per person/$100,000 per accident).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) and/or ASL is a plus.
- Confidentiality and ability to manage multiple deadlines required.
- Must own a computer, printer, smartphone with data plan, and high‑speed internet connection.

TravelLocal travel required.
Physical Demands and Working EnvironmentOffice environment and field work at various business locations. Standing, walking, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting while driving and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as needed. Vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents. Hearing within normal range.
