Case Manager – Behavioral Health (BH)
Location
:
Tampa, Hillsborough County
Schedule
:
Full‑time, hourly, days, varying shift hours, occasional weekend work, on‑call
- Provide direct behavioral case management services to adults or children with serious mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and/or those involved in the child welfare system.
- Demonstrate competency in engagement and assessment, service planning and delivery, coordination, linkage and monitoring, documentation, and professional responsibility.
- Coordinate service delivery for individuals and provide community partners with up‑to‑date referral resources for continuity of care.
- Effectively manage assigned caseload based on individual needs, strengths, barriers, and preferences.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the service delivery system in accordance with regulations and district policy.
- Provide services at the most appropriate time and location for each person served; travel is required.
- Conduct urine drug screening and transport clients as required by program needs.
- Perform a 24‑hour on‑call rotation if required; perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Health Education, Special Education, or another human services related field.
- One year of full‑time experience working with children with behavioral health concerns (for targeted child case managers).
- One year of full‑time experience working with adults with behavioral health concerns (for targeted adult case managers).
- Preferred:
One year of full‑time experience with the identified population. - Required Certification/License: BLS (Basic Life Support);
Driver’s License. - Targeted case managers (CBHCM) must obtain Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager certification through the Florida Certification Board (FCB) within one year of employment; preferred for all case managers.
- Targeted case managers must be authorized to bill Medicaid.
