Professional work supervising the assigned Family Resource Specialist of the Pathways to Hope Program. Provides leadership in overall performance & quality improvement efforts to meet outcomes. Collaborates with the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County and Hillsborough County School personnel to ensure consistency of services. Works closely with Housing, Employment and Education leadership to develop strategies to provide needed services to families.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Selects, supervises, and trains Family Resource Specialist program staff; completes employee evaluations and implements development, discipline and recognition programs.
- Provides daily coaching and support to Family Resource Specialists, including weekly clinical supervision.
- Serves as representative with community partners regarding the Pathways to Hope program as needed.
- Works collaboratively with cross‑functional leadership to address barriers to programming.
- Monitors ongoing progress and needs within families and supportive services; ensures families are linked to services and natural support systems per the Family Support Plan.
- Monitors progress of files for quality assurance on families.
- Monitors and approves service requests for Administrative Service Organization (ASO) with the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County.
- Collects and reports data for CBHC on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Monitors, reviews, and evaluates outcomes.
- Works with the Director of Community Based Programs to monitor contractual agreements and coordinate staff training needs.
- Attends meetings, training, and conferences as directed; may serve on internal and external committees.
- Supports the team in other tasks as assigned and attends all team meetings; meets personal goals and actively contributes to achieving team and organizational targets as measured by key performance indicators and the annual plan.
Master’s degree in Social Work or Human Services field required; 5 or more years of case management experience, 2 of which must be at a supervisory level.
Skill RequirementsHeart for ministry, understanding of poverty, maturity, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with low socio‑economic and diverse crisis populations; deescalation skills; teamwork within a multi‑disciplinary framework; computer literacy with Microsoft Word and Excel; oral and written communication skills; ability to write reports and conduct meetings.
Physical RequirementsAdequate hearing and speaking ability; ability to work outdoors in sunlight and higher temperatures on occasion; physical, emotional, and spiritual stamina; ability to lift 20 lbs. or more.
