Lutheran Services Florida seeks a Child Welfare Consultant to strengthen outcomes for children and families across community-based programs. In this role, you will assess program performance, ensure compliance with Florida child welfare standards, and lead data-informed improvement efforts. You'll coach staff and partners, facilitate trainings, and collaborate across Community & Social Services teams to design effective initiatives. Responsibilities
- Lead consulting support for child welfare programs across LSF service areas
- Assess program performance, compliance, and outcomes using data and case reviews
- Develop recommendations and action plans to improve child safety, permanency, and well being
- Provide coaching and technical assistance to community partners and internal teams
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, trainings, and workshops
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for funders and leadership
- Ensure adherence to state and federal child welfare regulations and best practices
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and refine community based initiatives
- Engage families, caregivers, and community agencies to strengthen service coordination
- Monitor implementation of improvement plans and track progress toward goals
Required Skills
- Child welfare case practice and policy knowledge

- Data analysis and reporting (Excel or similar)

- Report and grant writing
- Knowledge of Florida DCF regulations and standards
- Trauma informed care principles
- Microsoft Office and case management systems
