Description

Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Outreach:
  • Develop and execute a recruitment strategy to meet quarterly and annual enrollment targets.
  • Represent eMerge Career Collaborative at community events, high school transition fairs, vocational rehabilitation meetings, and disability service provider events.
  • Build and maintain referral relationships with school districts, Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) counselors, group homes, case managers, and community-based organizations serving individuals with disabilities.
  • Conduct informational sessions and campus tours for prospective students and families.
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified leads through outbound calls, emails, and in person outreach.
Assessment & Screening:
  • Conduct intake interviews with prospective students to determine program fit, support needs, and readiness.
  • Administer or coordinate required preadmission assessments in partnership with program staff (academic, vocational, or functional assessments as applicable).
  • Review documentation of disability, prior IEP/504 plans, psychological evaluations, or VR case files to confirm eligibility.
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify reasonable accommodations needed for successful enrollment.
  • Communicate assessment outcomes clearly to applicants and families, including next steps.
Student & Family Support
  • Guide applicants and families through the enrollment process, answering questions about program structure, cost, funding, and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate with the Director to schedule orientation and ensure a smooth transition from admissions to program start.
  • Follow up with accepted students prior to start date to reduce summer melt or pre-enrollment attrition.
Other:
  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, patience, empathy, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
  • Comply with all MTC policies and procedures, including safety and emergency protocols, HIPAA, confidentiality standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Focus on a people-first approach across the organization.
  • Diagnose problems quickly, foresees potential issues, and delivers resolution.
  • Maintain a collaborative work environment and work well with others.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, case management, or direct service to individuals with disabilities.
  • Working knowledge of IEP, 504 plans, VR referral processes, and disability documentation standards.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Relationship building and community engagement.
  • Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Empathy and cultural competence working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Organizational skills to manage a multi-step admissions pipeline.
  • Data driven approach to recruitment and reporting.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based recruitment activities.
  • Must pass a Level II background check/fingerprinting () and drug screening.
Preferred:
  • Experience working directly with the disability community in an educational or vocational setting.
  • Familiarity with Florida Vocational Rehabilitation referral and funding processes.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/ASL) a plus.

Compensation:

Full-time Exempt, $48K - $52K annually
