Summary

CAE USA, Defense & Security requires exceptional engineering development candidates who will create and improve environment and sensor system solutions for real-time aircraft simulation & training. This is a hands‑on software engineering internship position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn from a diverse and driven team of skilled engineers

  • Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles

  • Create new simulation solutions using both standard and innovative modeling techniques

  • Design, develop, code, integrate and test simulation solutions to meet system requirements

  • Maintain, upgrade, and improve existing simulations

  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex problems in a fast‑paced, agile environment

  • Develop software test procedures, software programs and related documentation

  • Perform integration and configuration of environment and sensor simulations

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (in progress) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering

  • Provide positive contributions, energy and directed curiosity as part of a highly collaborative team

  • Programming or software development experience

  • Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, mission critical environment

  • Dedication to continuous learning

  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Preferred Skills
  • One or more of the following programming languages: C++, FORTRAN, Ada

  • Windows & Linux OS

Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need‑to‑know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment
  • Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.

  • Interns are limited to 30 hours per week maximum.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to climb into and out of a single‑seat cockpit
